Who are We
The Atlanta Rugby Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the sport of rugby across the greater Atlanta metropolitan area.
The Foundation exists to strengthen access, education, and shared infrastructure that support youth, collegiate, and adult rugby programs throughout the region. Our work is focused on long-term community benefit and sustainable growth of the sport.

Our Mission

It is the purpose of the Atlanta Rugby Foundation to advance the sport of rugby through emphasis and promotion of proper playing skills, sportsmanship, teamwork, proper health habits, and good citizenship to youth and adult athletes in the greater Atlanta area.
This mission guides all programming, partnerships, and resource allocation.
Why We Exist

Rugby participation in the Atlanta region continues to grow, but access to consistent facilities, experienced instruction, and shared resources remains limited.

The Atlanta Rugby Foundation was established to address these gaps by:
-
Reducing barriers to participation
-
Supporting education and skill development
-
Preserving and improving infrastructure that serves multiple programs
-
Encouraging collaboration across the rugby community
By focusing on these foundational needs, the Foundation helps ensure that rugby remains accessible, safe, and sustainable for current and future participants.

What We Do

The ARF concentrates its efforts in four core areas:

Facility Stewardship

We own and manage the Atlanta Rugby Grounds as a shared community asset. The facility is maintained to support training, competition, and development opportunities for rugby programs across the region, with an emphasis on responsible use and long-term viability.

Access & Opportunity

We work to expand access to rugby by supporting programs that serve youth and adult athletes, particularly where financial or logistical barriers might otherwise limit participation.
Education & Development

Through partnerships and special initiatives, the Foundation helps bring experienced coaches and rugby professionals to the region to share knowledge with local programs. Whenever possible, this education is delivered directly within existing training environments to maximize reach and minimize disruption.

Community Impact

The Foundation promotes values central to rugby — respect, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship — while fostering a collaborative environment where programs benefit collectively rather than compete for limited resources.
Who We Serve
The Atlanta Rugby Foundation serves:

-
Youth rugby organizations
-

-
The broader Atlanta rugby community

Governance & Accountability

The Atlanta Rugby Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors committed to nonprofit best practices, transparency, and responsible stewardship of resources.
All Foundation activities and funding decisions are guided by our charitable mission and are structured to ensure broad community benefit rather than preference for any single organization.
Impact & Outlook

The Atlanta Rugby Foundation is building a strong foundation for rugby in Atlanta by investing in access, education, and infrastructure that supports long-term participation.
As the organization continues to grow, our focus remains on measurable community impact, responsible management of shared resources, and partnerships that strengthen the sport for generations to come.
